This photo was taken several years ago during
a Christmas visit to Sisteron. A Nimbus 3DT had been conveniently left there
from the preceding September and when the day came it just had to be used. I
would not, however, recommend Sisteron as a reliable winter soaring site;
the sun never gets hot enough for thermals and the winds are generally too
light for wave. But when the Mistral does blow, views like this are pretty
much guaranteed.
