Lift can be found in the most unexpected places, such as here, on another Spring flight, halfway between Dormillouse and Morgon. The oddity was that the wind was pretty much westerly, so blowing parallel to the valley rather than across it. And the wind strength wasn't that great, either. Perhaps it was a secondary off the pic de Bure, or maybe some form of convergence. I reached about 3000ft above cloudbase before the lift petered out - further searches into-wind proved unsuccessful, but it was worth the exploration.
